12×14 Poolside Pavilion in Burnham, PA

A Custom Pavilion Fit for the Fleegal Family

When Brian Fleegal decided to add a poolside pavilion to his property, quality was a top priority. He wanted an outdoor space his family could enjoy for years to come, and he wanted it built the right way.

“We wanted something that was going to last,” Brian said. “And it’s true, you get what you pay for.”

This search for quality led him to Honey Creek, and left him with a beautiful custom pavilion. It features a smooth black metal roof and stamped concrete patio designed to complement the surrounding pool area while providing a functional gathering space for family and friends.

The Fleegal Family’s Vision

Brian had an initial vision for the layout of the space, but after meeting with Levi and discussing the property’s unique characteristics, the plan evolved.

“We had Levi come over and changed plans a bit based on his recommendations,” Brian said. “It worked for the best with his experience and knowledge.”

Originally, the patio had been planned closer to the house. Levi suggested relocating it farther into the backyard to create a more balanced design while also improving functionality.

“We had a patio down against the house, and he suggested moving it out away from the house,” Brian said. “It was better for aesthetics and water runoff.”

“We wanted more than just your typical roof over a picnic table,” John said. Levi led them to other Honey Creek builds, allowing the couple to compare features and finalize their own plan.

The final product includes stamped concrete to match the existing pool area, and two steps create a seamless transition from pool deck to pavilion. The result is a clean, finished look with hidden electrical work and intentional details throughout.

Quality Materials, Lasting Results

At the center of the project is a custom poolside pavilion featuring warm wood tones beneath a smooth black metal roof. The structure provides shade and shelter while complementing the surrounding landscape.

The pavilion is paired with a stamped concrete patio that combines durability with visual appeal. Using the Gilpin’s Falls Bridge Plank stamp pattern, the concrete captures the character of weathered wood planks while delivering the long-term performance of concrete.

The patio features a Smoke U20 base color accented with Cape Cod Gray R26 antiquing and finished with a Cedar Bark stain that ties beautifully into the pavilion’s natural wood elements.

The concrete was recently sealed to help preserve its appearance and protect the investment for years to come. The Fleegal family also plans to complete landscaping around the space in the coming months.

A Project Delivered as Promised

While the craftsmanship and design details make an immediate impression, what matters most to Brian is how the space will be used.

“It’s for family, kids and grandkids,” he said.

Whether it’s relaxing poolside on a summer afternoon or hosting family gatherings, the pavilion has created a dedicated place for spending time together outdoors.

For Brian, one of the most meaningful aspects of the experience was knowing the project would be completed exactly as discussed, and on time.

“We were very satisfied,” he said. “He did exactly what he said he would do when he said he would do it.”

What’s next in their backyard haven? John says they’ve tossed around the idea of a fireplace, or outdoor kitchen, but for now, the pavilion is more than enough.
